Before you write

The answers to the most common questions are inside the app:

• Where is my data? On your device only. Settings, Privacy explains it in one screen.
• How do I back up or move to a new phone? Settings, Save a backup of everything, produces a backup file. Keep it somewhere safe (a cloud drive, a computer). To move your records, open Willowbell on the new device and use Restore from a backup in Settings. It checks the file first: a file from another app, or one that is not a complete backup, is refused and nothing changes. Otherwise it shows what the file holds next to what is on the device now and asks before it replaces anything.
• How do I delete everything? Settings, Delete everything. Two steps; it cannot be undone and we cannot recover it, because we never had a copy.
• How do I restore a purchase on another device? In the web version there is no store account, so you use the unlock code: paste it on the unlock screen, or ask for it again on the checkout page with the email address you bought with. In the iPhone app, when it is available, sign into the same Apple account, then open Settings and tap Restore purchase.
• Price: free for one person; a one-time purchase of $14.99 unlocks the household. See Refunds below.

Refunds

If you bought in the web version, write to hello@kehrandco.com within 30 days and we refund the whole amount, no reason needed. If you bought through Apple in the iPhone app, Apple runs the refund and we cannot: ask through your purchase history at reportaproblem.apple.com. Either way, nothing you have already entered is deleted, hidden or locked by a refund.

Privacy and data requests

Same address. Ask what we hold, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, ask us to delete something. We answer within two business days. The short answer is almost always that we hold nothing you entered — it never leaves your device — so the only things there can be are a web purchase record and any email you have sent us. If we ever refuse a request, reply with "appeal" in the subject and you get a written decision within 45 days. The privacy policy has the full detail.

Accessibility

We want Willowbell to work with VoiceOver, larger text and high contrast, and we are aiming at WCAG 2.2 level AA as the standard to be judged against. We have not had it audited by anyone independent and we are not claiming it is fully there.

If something is unusable with the tools you rely on, that is a bug and it goes to the front of the queue. Write to hello@kehrandco.com with "Accessibility:" at the start of the subject line, say which assistive technology you use, and we will reply within two business days with either a fix or an honest date.

What to include in your email

• Which app and which version (Settings, About shows it).
• Your phone model and operating system version.
• What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot helps.
• Please do not include health details, document scans or the person's full name; we never need them to help, and email is not a good place for them.

Report a bug

Same address, subject line starting "Bug:". Bugs that lose or hide data are our first priority and get a reply the same business day.

Request a feature

Same address, subject line starting "Idea:". We read every one. The list of planned features is short on purpose; the app stays small.
